Unfortunately I can't claim to be there/involved in any way. Came through the social media wires this morning so thought y'all might enjoy it so thought I would share.

No worries still a great post any idea where is was shot.
Cracker wave, great vid! I would love to get a drone and video surfing like that (I fly the things for fun anyway), but I know I'd get stuck on the beach filming everyone else and no surfing for me
Looks like Ahipara at the bottom end of 90 mile beach in the initial stages of video (never buy a second hand car from Kaitiaia)......but Ahipara is all waves breaking to the left with big south westerly swells......maybe somewhere further south than Ahipara ? Could be misleading advertising of course

Hmmmmm......there does seem to be a bit of very capable switchfooting going on if one reviews other media of the blokes named!
Oh......you mean they might have turned the lefts into rights in the editing process? Too tricky for me. Used to live at Hikurangi just north of Whangarei......sometimes if big swell forecast would get up early and drive to Ahipara to get there at dawn.......exciting surf (was still a knee boarder back in those days) a series of surf breaks that sometimes linked together so it seemed like you were surfing forever
And those enormous sand dunes......one of my most bizarre memories was on this isolated beach (if a camel came over the next dune you would not be surprised)....a guy in a suit carrying a briefcase walking along !!! Was like an alien vistitation
Awesome thanks for sharing , first shot does look like shippies driving around the rocks, huge sand dunes all around that top half either at the gum fields , Hokianga Harbour or te paki stream, that right point has me wondering though, lol
