hey, I saw a post about a spray on grip from Bunnings. I went to Cannon Hill Bunnings, but they didnt seem to have it and the staff didnt know about this product. Just wondering if someone can tell me the name of the product? Are there any other stores this sell this stuff? Cheers
Yes Hobie do sell it i bought a can couple of weeks ago. $30 did 3 coats on the nose of 2 boards but suggest to leave it for at least 24 hours before heavy use( funny that the instructions were right)
Yep, the Hobie Monster Grip is purpose designed (unlike any paints you might buy from the hardware store) and is absolutely awesome stuff!
We have it on the nose of all our surfing SUPs and on the tail of the racing SUPs.
Tape up around your edges to give a nice neat finish (even thought it is clear, a neat edge looks nicer) and give it plenty of time between coats. I think it says 10 minutes but give it an hour to be sure. Then let it go off at least overnight.
Some of our boards have had it on for well over a year and still performing great!
I am trying to find moster grip from Hobie but can't see it anywhere on the web in Aust. Was it available from Hobie direct or through a distributor? I would like to order some if anyone can direct me to a phone no to check.
Actually I have found the details now. I gave Hobie a call and they gave me their distributor. ONe in Brisbane and one in Sydney. Apparently they will ship from there. Pm me if anyone wants the details..
