In an attempt to get my daughter out paddling more I bought a new Naish Stable-table.. The Odysseus.. It's 9'8" x 34"..

She felt wobbly on my old 10' Mana.. and now she'd older I thought she would be ok on the new 9'5" Mana.. But no.. I might have to keep that board for myself.. .. She's 21 now and almost as tall as me.. and she's very scared of falling into the cold water..

I recently took a close neighbour and good friend and her daughter (who's about the same age as my daughter) for their first ever SUP.. and used the Odysseus..

They loved it so much and wanted to go again a few days later.. I took some pics and got some vid..

I still haven't got my daughter out on the water yet but I've paddled the board heaps.. and love it..

So.so so so stable.. and feels pretty fast to paddle for a wide board.. The bottom shape defiantly works.

DJ I've been eyeing off this board for dual purpose, 1. for my daughter (13 yrs and 5'9") to learn on and 2. for me to use in small surf. Have you tried it in the surf?
I used to body surf and ride the old surf'o'plane, actually still have one, but I have never upright surfed on a board.
I have a Suplove 11'2" which I have had in the surf a few times, but I was looking for something with more stability.
I'm probably the same height as you, 6'3", however I have heavier bones weighing in a a trim 125kg.
Your thoughts?

Given I was brought up about 30 min south of where you are these days, we may have even crossed paths at one stage or another...

This board is the Wood version. HC has a mast foot point in this but the wood versions don't have this. This board got me started...
