I have always loved to see new things and go on adventures to explore places I otherwise wouldn't experience. Since I started paddle boarding, my new found interest has made me want to replace tarmac and sky with water.

Standing up, traveling at a medium pace almost silently, being able to see every thing around me and able to communicate with passers by, to me really doesn't get much better. With this in mind, I decided to plan a trip that took me on a journey that needed challenging, but also to be fun.

There had to be a few objectives to this trip and all are equally as important. Firstly, to raise awareness of the sport and all it's positive benefits, secondly to raise money for charity and thirdly, a personal challenge, to do something that no one else had done before.

So, the question was, how was this trip going to come together and where was I going to start and finish. After studying various maps it finally came to me, Coast to Coast!

This journey however, although being on the water would only see the coast at ether end. The UK has the most amazing system of inland waterways, the canal's span hundreds of miles, which will allow me to travel the width of the country.

My route will start on the west coast at the mouth of the River Severn heading east . Passing through t major cities such as Bristol, Bath, Reading and London. My journey will finish on the east coast in South End, by the pier at the mouth of the River Thames. The paddle will cover aprox 236 miles taking 6-7 days covering some of the most beautiful countryside the uk has to offer.
