weiry said..never mind DJ, Give it a couple of years and Naish will catch on---up.

You know Wiery these new Fanatics might be great race boards and they might be fast. I wouldn't try to take that away from them.
I have two Fanatics at the moment 9'6" All Wave and 12'6" Fly. Both are great boards and I have been extremely happy with them.
I have been in the market for a 14'er for a while and have looked at most boards. I narrowed it down to three that i thought suited me and my purposes best.
These were Naish Glide, Coreban Dart and Fanatic Flacon. I have tested all of these boards and the Falcon and Dart twice. I wanted to buy the Falcon to keep my quiver Fanatic.
I won't be buying a Falcon. The reason being that they just aren't comfortable enough or stable enough for regular long distance paddling and touring that I do. I have to put too much effort into staying upright and balanced on them. When I first got onto the Falcon I had to really concentrate on being stable. For me that is an issue. Both the Dart and Glide didn't have this problem. Just jump on and go.
Whilst I am not trying to take anything away from the new Falcon it will not suit everybody and I think Fanatic have gone too far towards a race board and lost the touring and recreational side in this pursuit. Not everyone who paddles a 14' board is trying to win a race or break a record.
I would like to stress here that I am not rubbishing these boards I don't have the knowledge, skills or ability to do that.
I will definitely say though that the new Falcon doesn't suit me or my use.
Oh yeah I might have to agree with DJ, they do look a bit like they are going to pop.
Have fun.
