Well, it's on again and this time they're gonna make it! Chris de Aboitiz is commited but Lani is out (I think she knows sharks don't like dogs) and we're hoping work commitments will allow Woogie to finish what they attempted late last year and that's a circumnavigation of the worlds largest sand island by Sup. It's yet to be done and all to raise money and awareness for a great cause, The Disabled Surfers Association. This group works tirelessly to add a little sunshine to people who would give anything to be able to paddle a few metres, let alone a few hundred kilometres! Last year Chris and Woogie came agonisingly close, hammering down 240 kms in the first few days before Mother Nature decided she wasn't gonna let them off that easy and threw a howling wind in their faces and didn't let up. They continued in vain but were forced to abandon the challenge when realisation set in that they would not complete the mission during the alloted time frame. Still they raised a healthy amount of sorely needed funds which purchased much needed equipment for the DSA. In about 4-5 weeks time it's on again and they'll be paddling 18'8" of Penetrator complete with rudders as opposed to fixed fin 16's. Myself and others will be on the support craft egging them on and the whole lot will be filmed by the incredible Panga Productions so you'll get to see all the action but we need YOU, the people who can walk down the beach, pick up a paddle and get out there whenever they want. We need you to help by pledging money to the DSA so they can give more people the pleasure of what we often take for granted! I'll post the details of where to donate over the next couple of days, so get behind the boys, oh yes there'll be Pain with a capital P but this time they are gonna make it!.......Thankyou, Stuey
