Yep sold my old 10 foot "no name" board with paddle, and sold my 12' Naish and Naish dove tail surf paddle to help pay for my new DC 12'6 which I LOVE, and which im sure ill love even more once we make friends in the ocean

Yep think i will stick with mikeman. And then practice/practice/practice. I have a dragon boat/outrigging background, and nil surfing experiance, but i will get there hell or high water

Just reading forums on here about rules, and "in-experianced" surfers/suppers, getting in the way and being dangerous to others and themselves, and i dont want too be one of those people
Thanks Jacko, i think its AWSOME that you guys put your own personal time for your free fitness groups in the morning, which i have attended, but with a business and 2 small kiddies i cant always commit to early morning, and my training times vary from day to day.

I checked the Malfunction site this morning and saw the finish line is going to be at the front of Cudgen surf club, so im assumning it might start in the river, and come out through the mouth then upto the surfclub??
But its all good, ill get there in the end, my question was more into regards too the flat water racing... i just noticed in the states their seems too be a large flat water following, as well as surfing and i was having a conversation with one of the ladies before the 5k race yesterday in Noosa, she was a local, and was under the impression that the 5k race was going too be in the river system, like last years before they released the race course for this year.
Anywhoo, the babie is asleep, and nanna is here so im off for a paddle
