Love it!

Perfect board for someone wanting to get the most out of a wave.

I have been riding the board now for a few weeks and have been loving it!

The 9 8" is super stable as it is 30" wide so paddling out through the surf is fairly easy but because it is short you have work hard to keep some speed up and to keep the thing in a straight line. You adapt your paddling to suit after a short while and it is no problem.

Catching a wave requiers the same kind of technique, you have to paddle a little bit harder than some of the longer boards and focus on sticking to your line. This is not really hard to do as the board is so stable and you are able to paddle hard with ease.Catching waves on this board is still so easy!

Once on the wave the board comes allive! it turns so well and with not that much effort.
I have found that I can bottom turn the board tightly and set myself up to hit the lip a lot easyer than with the bigger boards. This is what I have been wanting.

The only Down side to the board for me is that it is quite flat through the nose, so when coming off the lip you have to be heavey on your back foot to stop from nose diving. This slows you down somewhat and makes it harder to hit your next turn as you have lost some speed.(only on steep waves and when top turning late)

So for super hollow waves a I think a board with more nose rocker would be better. But for waves that are not as hollow this board is perfect.

It is so fun to ride and I can not wait to get out there and use it again!

By far one of my favourite boards I have ridden yet,Other is the Naish 10 6".

Anyone wanting a try on the the 9 8" or any other SUP please let me know I have the all here for demo anytime.

Cheers

Luke
