Don't wish too hard...but...it looks pretty awesome for Saturday. 15-18 knots NNE is about as good as it gets for this course.

The starting line-up is looking pretty hot too. It will be worth a trip to some of the headlands (Whaley, Newport, Warriewood and Long Reef) to see Travis and Beau going head to head. Some of the other Qlders should go OK

but watch out for Steve and Sam who have stepped it up a notch in the last month.
Now to the admin:
Rego: from 11am. Aim to get there by 11.00ish as driving to Palmie and finding a park always takes longer than you think on the weekend.
Start time: 1PM for SUPs. Later for skis.
PFDs: you must wear them. No bum bags. There will be over 300 paddlers (skis, OCs and SUPs) and everyone has to comply - they are pretty tough on this one due to all the dramas that SLS have had with safety issues in the last few years.
The Course: Will probably be a beach start if the surf is not too big. Then around a buoy and straight to Freshy. SUPs do not need to go around the Nth Steyne bouy - just straight into the finish - BUT make sure you attend the race briefing for final confirmation.
