Hi any 2 tried the starboard tikitech paddle. I'm in the look out for a new paddle. Don't want the full carbon as I've read they not to good with taking a knock or 2. And I'm new to supping. So i want something durable. But lighter than my alloy paddle. I'll only use it for surfing.

I use a Fanatic bamboo/carbon combo, it looks great with the timber and is light just use a bit of tape around the blade to protect it from the occasional knock.

Is that the 40 % carbon one. It does look a good paddle. Do they do different size blades. I want a small blade as I'm 72 kg.

The Fanatic Bamboo Carbon 40 was my first paddle, loved it and also bought one for the missus, mine is still going strong after 3 years but her's is not looking so great as the outer resin got damaged and allowed water to seep in, definitely use electrical tape or similar to protect the blade. Blue Planet also do a good mid range carbon paddle with a larger and smaller blade size available www.blueplanetsup.com.au/
