Gday
anybody else out there using the STRAVA APP for recording paddling distances ,times, splits, ect
ive been using it for the last 2 months n all I can say is that it's ruined my relaxing take it easy paddle time
and turned it into a full on race against the clock and yourself.
my times for the 4km ,avg where 35 mins, now there even 30 min,
5 kms were 41min,now 37 min
10 kms were 1.21 hr ,now 1.16 hr
,and getting faster every session ,weather permitting ,abs epic!!!
very very addictive ,frothn for my next session

hahaha yeah I have strava, use it for cycling and running, and now upload my paddling to it aswell - wait until you get a few people on sups doing the same route as you then the strava races will be on trying to knock off each others segment times. we have some pretty epic strava runs on our local mountain bike tracks, only bad thing is you get rookies going out on their first DH run and think they can knock off the best strava runs first time out.....ends up in broken wrists and banged up knees

I use Garmin, tried Strava and then just went back to Garmin. Your right though about it being so addictive.

Used Strava for SUPsurfing twice, recording the sessions with Garmin GPS.

It was fun ... until the Garmin went crazy and stopped working.

As I like measuring everything, thinking about getting Trace Up or the coming Glassy Pro for SUP surfing.

Cheers from Barcelona, by the way

I use it. I used to use for running, but have decided make paddling my 'fitness thing' this year (just going once a week on flat water). Strava works perfectly for monitoring pace etc. I just use it with my iPhone in a waterproof case.

Used it for mtbing.
Took away the real reason why I started riding.
So I deleted it.
