So a touring board that you could race? Or a race board that you could tour?

All the 14' racers from the big brands would make good tourers. Widths generally come in 25", 27" & 30"+ give-or-take and 85-90kg and moderate balance is probably a rough guide for the middle point.

For something that is a tourer first with built in holes for bungees etc, maybe look at an 11' or 12' Fanatic Ray or similar in terms of type of shape you're looking for. Starboard, Fanatic, JP & Naish get a fair bit of air time in the review section and would have a decent touring board in their range. If they haven't given it a nose like a speed boat or a submarine and sexy paint job, it probably isn't for racing.

SIC X-12 is super underrated! check it out...

More than fast enough to race, stable enough to downwind, and easy to catch runners with its wide tail and a semi sunken deck, but also a nice board for touring. It is 12'6" so easy to get into and around small creeks, has a bungee set-up on the nose with heaps of plugs and holes to add your own additions onto!
The board fisher goes a treat on it! boardfisher.com/

Any 12'6" with a bit of width will be good though.
