Where was that? I saw 30+ paddling towards Flinders Sunday morning but I don't recognize the starting point (unless you did a loop).

Loop. Flinders - Honeysuckle - Flinders.

(should have seen the faces on the two grumpy longboarders at Honeysuckle when they saw nearly 40 SUP riders approaching on raceboards )

I will ask a dumb question. I would love to do the paddle but I only have a Mana 10ft and would be left behind against those boards, so is there any point me going along or would I simply slow down the event?

There were people there on cruising boards Dave.. You wouldn't slow anyone down, there's a broad collection of skills and speeds attend..
You'd be fine if you can maintain a moderate pace although a 10' would be a disadvantage. That said, there's no substitute for length.. Or is it width, I can never remember what she said
Are you a SUP Vic member?

No not a member as yet, I noticed the cruising boards but they looked like 10'6 boards and they tend to glide faster than a 10 footer as well, maybe next year.
i always thought it was long and thin makes you grin short and thick does the trick?
