It was a small turn out today with only about 8 paddlers and a about another four people trying it for the first time. Though windy fun was still had by all.

We decided to have a fun surf / comp with Mark Hatfull judging on the beach. Yes I won something.... Best wipeout.

The best wave was from luke King with a screaming lefty.

To ensure a kid friendly environment and best wind conditions we have decide to host our meets on the second Sunday of every month and have them at either the Mooloolaba Spit in southerly winds (surf Carties) or at Happy Valley when it is blowing from North. Occassionally when it is a terrific day we will surf a beach break like Buddina.

As it is hard to make a call more then 24 hours ahead of the meet we will post the location on this site as well as through the members emaiil to the Sunshine Coast Group on Sue Sheard site (it blocks my post if i list the address) and the club site scsupc.tripod.com .

Look forward to seeing many more at the next event.

Tried our best to let everyone know. Spent a couple of hours even looking for phone numbers of people who emailed and said they were coming. Billboard and Just Wrong for example. I posted the changes on this site, club sit and Sue's ning site. I also sent the message out to every member on the ning site for the Sunshine Coast group. Luke King sat down at Happies for a little while to send any one who missed the site or messages but must have missed the people you were talking about.

To prevent this happening again we will list both locations for each month and ask people to check any of the sites we use on the Saturday to get the updated location. Just doing this to ensure best wind and conditions possible for the day.
