March Club Day

Club Day: Sunday 13th of March

Meet up time: 8am Location: Maroochydore River Mouth.

If there is a weather change I will let you know. Otherwise I will see you there.

We are going to have a social surf and expression session. During this time we will work on 30 to 40 minute sessions where each surfer will try to acheive a certain manoeuvre. At the start of each session we will do a demo on 'how to do it' and then a social surf in which we encourage everyone to give it a go and share some tips on 'How to'.

We believe this will be fun and also help each member to try something new that they may not have done before. The manoeuvres may include (depending on conditions and who is showing what) 360' Helicopter, Floater, Power Turn, Cutback, 180' Fakie. These may change due to conditions and we welcome others to share.

Also as part as the Starboard Demo Auswind is offering the chance to win a free Starboard SUP Board. Demo will be av from 7am to 10am. First one at the Sunshine coast SUP club meet this Sun 13/3, there will be on going demos from this date to the 21st.

I should be down for a bit of a look. Unfortunately, no surfing for me with my knee in its current condition, so will probably just bring the alpharace 14 down for a cruise and to watch the action!

Meet at the last set of sand bags as you come in the river.

Here is a rough map. The area with the current swell should have a wave inside the river mouth and also calm area for those just wanting to try it out.
