Any Melbourne'ites keen to check out the new surf move that starts tomorrow at Hoyts cinemas.. It's called 'Going vertical' and looks pretty good.

I'm thinking 6.30pm at Chadstone cinena this saturday for anyone who's interested.

Check out the trailer here.. www.hoyts.com.au/Movies/details/Going_Vertical.aspx?cs=1

Yes.. A group of us went and saw it awhile ago.. I've seen it twice now..

The SHQ guys have just set up a big SUP display in the foyer of the IMAX cinema here in Melbourne.

It's a great film, the 3D is amazing and and all Melbourne'ites shouldn't miss it.

In case anyone's interested.. The film 'Going Vertical' was fantastic.. I give it two thumbs up and it's well worth seeing on the big screen.

One word of warning tho.. It starts straight away with no trailers on first.

The words that Gerry (Lopez) says at the end of the film re Bob and Dick is a classic.. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

A wonderful history of surfing around the planet, an intriguing debate over who were the pioneers of surfing for both long and short boards (in my opinion its the aussies, go Bob!!!) and funnily enough, several great examples of just why you should stay away from drugs, lol. All will be evident once the film is viewed.

Must see for any avid surfer!!

I thought the most progressive surfer in the whole movie was that George Greenough fellow.

His kneeboarding style looked to be 15-20 years ahead of time but like someone said; "he never stood up"
