Nothing worse than a SUPer sitting/ STANDING out the back just in front of you flapping his paddle around looking a bit wobbly and trying to paddle onto every set wave ,line up sit wide and wait your turn slot in ...........

But what is with surfers who you allow to take off on what every wave they want by standing wide, then decide to charge straight at you , wanting to carve there first turn with in 1 inch of the nose of your board when half a 1 a meter or 2 meters was another option ?????? as was recently experienced ,

If i did not pin drop to the side of my board, my nose would have gorn straight through the middle of his board.

When he paddled back out i said to him what is with that when you had 5 other options , he said i was in his way.

There was another couple of quick verbal exchanges which was fken good,

There was 3 of us out in solid consistent set waves him his mate and then me

After i got a couple of solid waves all the way through things settled a bit / nothing more was said / but it was well and truly every man for him self

My generosity and good will was gone with his anti SUP greeting to me in the line up

I stood out the back and center heaps more times than i would of for the rest of the session re a justing my balls in my wet suit taking more than i would have happily let through.

Just worked it out public holiday weekend

Give and take balance exceptance equality all have a place in the line up. Crew just need to relax but for some people it's hard. I surf some crowded places but I make a conscious decision to not get angry I figure it's only a wave. I just paddle back out the back and wait for the next one.

Understand exactly what you are saying. I have had the same problems even as a prone surfer. Some guys think they are seagulls & the waves are chips! Got to get every one of them no matter what!!!!!! Lol!!!
Yes I get angry too but keep it to myself. And if I feel fit & confident enough on those rare days then I will take waves away from the wave hogs too. As you know it's just a matter of positioning yourself in the line up so they cannot drop in. And I know with a SUP it can be done quite easy if wanted.
At my age now I just laugh at their mentality. Those that know me know that I just hang to the outside & pick off the ones they miss & if I can I will go find another break which is really quite rare. Sometimes depending on the break I can mingle or grab that monster clean up wave that I can paddle out to before them.
I am not just talking about prone surfers, SUP users can be wave hogs too.
Yes it's more peoples attitudes that can spoil it for others.
I know when the surf is pumping that I will get crowded out & really have no choice but to give way to the short boarders but lucky for me so far I do get my fair share & most have got a good attitude.
I can see in the year 3000 that we will all have to line up like they do at an amusement park for a ride.
