I am about to teach a friend to surf their new surfing sup and I had offered them to use my big Odysseus for their first couple of surf sessions thinking the added stability might give them more confidence at moving their feet and help with catching their very first waves.. So.. I thought I better check that this big stable-table of a board actually does surf ok so I tried it out yesterday.. I'm thinking the channels and concaves on the bottom must not only help with stability and tracking of this very wide board but they must help unstick it from the water promoting very early planing.. It was awesome and surfed great..

Thats a great board DJ.

That looks like it would catch ankle high waves as well.

Thats a board you coud have a lot of fun on

Yes.. Great for small easy waves like these but I think it might be a bit tricky on bigger waves..

You'll never get performance style surfing out of a board like this but I was surprised at how well it went..

I love the new 11' Glide.. If I ever sell my 12'6'' Glide my plan was to buy a new 11' Touring Glide..

I don't think it's designed for surfing but I'm sure it would surf ok on the right waves..
