Gday DJ just after some advice, i've been looking on the Naish website and reading about the naish and nalu writeups, in the same lenghts what do you reckon the advantages or disadvantages are one over the other.say 10 footers.Loved the video and soundtrack. Thanks
Thanks.. I'm not 100% sure what your question is but as far as Naish goes there are three main boards in the 10' range.. The Nalu, the Mana and the Hokua.
The Hokua is a performance board that has a short board feel with its pointy nose.. It's fast and likes to be surfed more from the tail.. It can also be a little tippy for a beginner..
The Mana is a fun and stable surfing board that's perfect for beginners.. You can stand pretty much anywhere on the board to make it work.. It can be a little slow but it's very forgiving and a rel fun board.
The Nalu is more of a performance long board style board.. Faster than the Mana.. Surfs well from the tail and is also a good nose rider.. They can be a bit tippy but the new shape 10'6".5 Nalu is slightly wider than the old 10'6" Nalu making it the best of both worlds.. Stable, fast, and has awesome surfing performance.
I also have a 10' Mana that I love and almost never nose dive it on take offs on a wave (because of the added rocker) but yesterday I nose dived my Nalu a couple of times because its not as forgiving as the Mana and has a nose rocker that's more suited to nose riding.. btw.. The nose diving is my fault.. not the board.. I just need to learn to surf better..
