Last time I came in at cott the clubbies told me it was a no go zone for boards so this is a piss take or you have a permit. Please explain

Out of all the races I have done I think this one had the best vibe to it. A lot of new faces and everyone hung around at the end and chatted boards and especially admired Reagan's new Lahui Kai.

First - Kevin Smith 12'6 on one of the new mainpeak boards
Second - Luke Jenkins 17 Glide
Third - Cameron McKay 12 Glide

Unfortunately none of us were eligable for prizes because we all signed up on the day, which was sprung on us after we had hung around for an hour for the presentations.

Thanks Ken for looking after us with a little something anyway.

Which Lahui Kai did Reagan get?
Someone needs to break Kevins arms, he is way too quick.
What was the wind like?

The surftech Jamie Mitchell. I think it is actually the board Jamie was supposed to race recently.

The wind was 15 probably gusting to 20 knots from the south east, so the majority of paddling was on the left side.

Kevin had ripped some muscle of his bone in his leg and was on crutches until only three days before the doctor, never paddled a distance that long and still finished 9th (i think). So it seems there isn't much that can stop him.

Yeah good vibe and great to see lots of new faces. Was pretty p***sed off with being charged extra for entering on the day and not being told we were eligble for prizes. But on the upside the guys who got the prizes, were all newbies and are sure to turn up to more events in the future. Which is all good. Great to see more women getting involved also.
Thanks for the shirt also Ken.
