A windy 25+knts, cold day, max temp 10 deg, wind chill....6? very small swell, blown out anyway.
A day off from school & Jarrod is at me to try out his new 7' 10".....he gets me to drop him up the Anglesea river, these strong offshores funnel down the river like a mini Gorge. Not much paddling was required, he was probably doing 15ks just standing there on the small runners. (we'll remember the GPS next time)
I think he's hooked on this down wind stuf!
Too much fun!

I stayed in Anglesea last weekend, it's a great part of the world you live in. Never realized you had a coal mine there - does that power Geelong? Next time I'll paddle the river.

I did a great paddle north on a glassy flat morning past the cliffs almost up to Point Adidas and another paddle South to PRN. It was good to see the reefs close up and actually see what is underneath me. I should make a point of checking out a spot more closely at low tide on a small day before I venture out blindly and surf an uncharted place.

Oh yeah.... almost forgot - I was riding a 10'6" stonker 4 1/2" thick and 30" wide
