Definitely worth the coin. Myself and quite a few people I know have done it with him and all feedback is amazing.

Want to go faster, longer and with less effort? Give Pete a buzz......

Don't go to Melbourne Pete. We've got better beaches, warmer weather, etc - and the list goes on.
Sh-t, I haven't started a Sydney vs Melbourne thing have I ?

Peter
What would be an ideal group size, and for how long, ideally for 12'6 size boards.
Perhaps somewhere like Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast would suit?

I have just applied for a grant for this sort of thing for the club to offset the costs. Should know tomorrow if we get it.

Guys in SUPSA let me know if you are interested in this grant as it is a straight forward and easy one to get. Designed to hire accredited coaches for you club development.

I'll actually be staying right on Lake kawana.
Makes it easy for video analysis on a big TV.

Group size. No more than 10.
It is perferable to do a individual lesson as you get a lot more out of it. Mainly cos' The instructor is focusing solely on you and you cant use short cuts.

I hope plenty on Sunshine Coast crew took advantage of Pete's coaching while he was up there last weekend! Have you guys got any feedback?

I've also been doing some technique sessions with Pete recently and I can feel it making a massive difference to my paddling, so here's my thoughts for anyone considering getting help from a professional coach will be worthwhile for you!

There's plenty of coaches out there who can tell you how to paddle correctly (like if it was written in a text book) but there are few who have the ability to analyse and identify what you're doing wrong (no matter how minor the problem) and teach you how to not only correct it, but how to recognise you're doing the wrong thing so you can avoid slipping back into those bad habits in the future.

Whether you're just starting out and want to make you're paddling as enjoyable as possible or you've been paddling for years but want to improve the efficiency of your stroke so you can get more out of your training then have a chat to Pete about helping you out. It's definitely worth the time!

ps. if you're on the Gold Coast, don't forget Roar's technique training sessions with Pete on Friday morning (tomorrow) only $10 and well worth it! Meet at Currumbin shop at 5.15am.

Yes, Pete Dorries and/or Travis Grant run a technique session almost every friday morning in conjunction with Roar's daily training group.
(Always good to ring the guys at the Roar shop a couple of days earlier just to check).
