Thanks for helping me out of the water at lorne. I am currently in hospital with a stent in my heart after having a heart attack. When I get out you need to have proper go on the wide point. Thanks again

Hey Chicken glad to hear you recovering, and don,t worry you will be Supping again soon.

I,m 49 and I thought it would never happen to me . I've just been through the same thing and although I was very very lucky ,I caught it before I had a heart attack ,I had a few chest pains but only while climbing stairs at work the supping didn,t seem to put to much exertion on the heart ,anyway I had a couple of blockages which they stented .That was eight weeks ago ,I,m back in the water feeling a lot better.

What I,m trying to say is don,t worry you will be thinking all sorts of crazy things about life ,love and past history ,this will pass and after about two weeks you will start feeling yourself again. Don,t do to much to soon, you don,t want a bleed around the angio seal, just take it easy and make sure you do the cardio rehab its important. Don,t do anything physical until you have done another stress test in a controlled environment, this might be in 4weeks time don,t rush it, you ,ll be back in the water before you know it .

I,m telling all my friends and family go and get a blood test ,get on top of cholesterol, sugars and blood pressure before they have attack, anyway all the best and brighter times ahead.....

cheers Red

Hey Daz, ,it's cool mate I went and got my board off the beach and came back to the hospital but you had already gone to Geelong Base. The nurse couldn't believe how you got your wetsuit off! I couldn't believe you wouldn't let me drive you the 300 metres. I'm not that bad a driver!!! Lorne is good in that way. After carrying your Widepoint up that hill with my dodgy hip, I'll definitely go the carbon version. Hey ask to do your rehab at Epworth, I'll see you there in a week after my hip replacement.

I thought you were just stirring me about the width of the Allwave you tough old bugger. A bit like the scene in "The Holy Grail" come back here and I'll bite your bloody legs off. I was thinking it couldn't be too bad cause you were doing so much yourself. My main concern was not having to give you the kiss of life! I might have had to dart the tongue in! (Never let a chance go begging! !!!!. I'm just happy your ok. Take care muscles we can do our flatwater and surf rehab together sometimes! !

Thanks guys for best wishes. From all accounts I had a significant heart attack and will be laid up in hospital until Wednesday. Thanks red that is exactly what I was thinking about you described it perfectly and they told me about the cardio rehab. And again Leroy thanks again. I will go for a paddle with you anytime.
Cheers
P.s. absolutely go the carbon

Just get well really soon! Ps I wouldn't really have darted the tongue down your throat unless you had to have a shock to bring you back. I can't believe how tough you were driving to hospital by yourself I would have called the fire brigade, police and or ambos!!!
Cheers and best wishes Leroy :) :) :)
