After a Paddle I always have a huge appetite and as tha Dogman will not supply the pie recipe to us Mexicans we have to take other measures.

The following are great places to stop off for a coffee and a snack after an awesome session.

OCEAN GROVE:

The Piping Hot Chicken Shop.

John and his staff are friendly and the food is fresh flavoursome and fantastic value.

TORQUAY

The C Cafe behind Rip Curl makes the best breakfasts and burgers, they are to die for. Better than a Dogman Pie

Please add your thoughts so we can make a list of the great places to stop off!

I really enjoy the orange flavoured smart water or the new lychee flavoured one after a paddle.

Buy a unsliced Tank loaf from the bakery and 2 pies, hollow out the tank loaf, put in one pie, 2 bucks worth of chips and then the other pie, lace it with tomato sauce and your set.............probably goes without saying but you have to be really really hungry.

100% agree. Sooo good! I need one near home.
The beef quesidillas (spelling?) are amazing as well.

Anything fried from anywhere that fries it is also good after a surf.

Jimmy and the boys at Salty Rooster, at the Queenscliff end of Many Beach. Cnr of North Steyne and Collingwood. I would post a picture but given I had some for lunch today it will be another week before I have another one!!

I recommend the USA Rooster - which is a chicken burger with Jalipinos, smokey bbq sauce, lettuce, cucumber and some mayo. Its nice and spicy and washes down well with a can of coke! Heaven and a great hangover cure as well. They have about 15 or more different chicken burgers and also do real chips - nice thick ones!
