After repeated warnings not to surf in over the surgeons table at Nusa lefts,I paid the ultimate price and broke my beloved DC 8-11 on only the second day of our 2 week trip .I went one turn too far,I flicked off and I got over the lip but my board didn't , the tail wedged in the shallow reef ripping out 3 fins and the board broke in the centre and creased at the tail when it was wedged in the reef. We tried in vain to fix it with some resin and toilet paper as the filler but it was the fin damage that made the board unrepairable in PNG . I almost left it there but Dale said he could fix it at home.
This is the result and I am so stoked it only put on about half a kilo in weight and it surfs as good as before. The worst part was my fish skeleton deck grip had to go

I went to surf shapers and picked up a new full length grip BUT I couldn't help my self and had to cut a skull and cross bones to show the board was back from the Dead.
This is the board now , how good a job did Dale do matching the tint especially on the fin area.
