Has anyone ridden the new Naish 9'5".

I am looking at getting a new board for my wife with some selfish considerations for my self. Yes I want to ride her too. She is after a board that she can load on the car by herself (Landcruiser) and that she can use in the small surf and flat water. She is only 5'2" and 55kg and wants to go when she wants and not when someone is around to give her a hand with the board to the roof of the car and to the water.

I have the 9'6" and though she likes it the look of the 9'5" and the extra volume might make it a bit better on the flat??? Also a bit more stable in the surf.

On my self confessed selfish reason has anyone ridden it in the surf??? I normally surf the beach break in Buddina. I was wondering how this one would go when the wind picks up. The 9'6" is great in the surf but in the rough chop it is more challenging. I am 6' and over 90kg.
Look forward to the feedback.

Hi,
I have been on Maui for a while visiting. I have had a go on the 9'5". I found it plenty stable in the flats, not much flat water cruising speed but I was told that it is more of a surfboard. If you are not racing though it will be fine in flat water. As far as the surf, quite impressed! Me being 175 and 6'0", I thought it was going to be way big but it surfed great! In the chop any board does not feel that great.

Hi Matt
I instintively give all my boards a female gender.

Thanks DKirche.. Did you also try the new 10' Mana.. I can see myself on one of those soon..

Did you notice the single concave bottom adding much to the stability? ..and did that concave make it feel stiff when going from rail to rail turning?

I really like the look of that 9 5" Naish as well, The whole Mana range from Naish looks great!

The boards will have the stability that a lot of guy's and Gals are after but still surf well by the looks.

I love the way the Naish boards present with a High gloss finish and super clean lines.

The Naish Mana range is going to go well im sure.

We will have a demo board or 2 for you to try Swanie as soon as their in OZ

Cheers

Luke

I reckon the 195L is wrong too! Whopper is longer and wider and only 168L??
Heaps of typos on the website if you look it neads someone to check it thoroughly.

HIi Pete

The sand seem to be coming back in so lets hope the bank at 15 gets better. 19 , 36 and 44 have been excellent.

How's the ribs
