The other day I had a guy contact me through this forum that had seen me on the water and wanted to get into SUP.

He asked if he could meet me and have a go on my board.

I said sure..and I met him down at the beach the next day (yesterday).

It was a perfect day for learning and I brought my old wally-windsurfer that I used to SUP on for him to use.

I had a paddle for him that I had made for my daughter and we paddled together for a couple of hours.

Nic had no problem at all..and only fell in once or twice.

Here's a couple of pics that I took yesterday of my new friend Nic on his first day on an SUP board...and looking good IMO...

He can't wait to buy his own board now.

hey there Greenroom,

I went the naish mainly because of all the feed back i got from all the forums ive been reading and the conclusion i came up with is that its a really good flat water board but can also perform in the surf. Ive only had the one go on it and i couldnt believe how stable it was, and i hadnt ridden any SUP boards at all. Most of my riding is going to be flat water because of my location and this board suits me to a tee. Also Pete at onboard convinced me it was the pick of the boards they have got and really he couldnt of been more helpful. The option of the sail mast track is a bonus as i have all ways wanted to try windsurfing.Thats about it mate only real bad feed back ive read is that in bigger surf its not as good but it will be a while before i try anything like that and thats only a few peoples opinion.

cheers mate

P.S- have you decided what you are going to get yet ?

I did a review on the 11'2 thread.
I will be going carbon.
I used the ali and the carbon and the carbon sh1ts all over the ali.
More power, less paddling and super light
