Sorry crew. Im about to bore you with another one of my mast base videos.
Its in the middle of the board so all you see are my ankles. BOO!
I gotta get me a Casso Sucker Cam.
Anyway it was a super small day with some knee high clean up sets thumping through. It was scary big! But the 11'2 held up to its usual soul reputation.
No one surfing anywhere on the northern reefs. Ah the beauty of stand up paddle surfing. The tide was mid to high but wearing booties is essential for this place as the reef is basically untouched. Its never surfed. Its not a surfed wave. I was told today by a local longboarder who has lived in the area for 15 years that he has never seen anyone ride these waves other than me. I gave him a go while I watched his kids on the beach. He took to it like he had done it before. He got a couple of nice waves. He came in with a smile from ear to ear. I love seeing people do that. Watching someone stand up paddle for the first time and getting super stoked.
Anyway enough blab from me. Here is the video. Some things to look out for...
Going switchfoot, a toe high wipeout, me scratching my nuts and doing the shameful goatboat
