Check out this Frenchman...no waves required, just incredible balance and agility! He has become my personal hero.

Yep, agree with Cam - don't get it, not graceful, looks really messy and what's the point of it!

Sorry guys I didn't realised this had been posted before,
I felt it was a pretty good demonstration of what a SUP athlete can do close up with respect to balance, agility and core control for those of us not at that level. Also it is amazing how diverse and creative this sport can be.
Horses for courses guys.

Cheers

I guess the point is that he's having fun, and that's all that really matters.

What we think about it is irrelevant ... until someone tries to make us do it.

There's no reason for us to be unkind about it.

Get off your high horses. Enough flat days in a row and you'd all be doing it.

Doing what? Make a video of myself masturbating with my board, finding some groovy indy copywritten song to make myself look better, and then posting it on youtube and ask people for comments - I doubt it.

I actually like that video. If I could have half the skills he has I would be very happy. What he is demonstrating is a very high skill level, both with his blade and his weight distribution. These skills will certainly be benificial to have whether surfing waves or doing long distance.

I totally agree! The only reason our sport progresses is people pushing the boundaries
While it is not what I want to do on a SUP this guy is doing things we never thought possible and just maybe if he instils in us the idea that maybe we can all do something to push our own boundaries we are all better off.
Push your own boundaries!!!!!

Seems more like "dancing with the stars" than "Rodeo Freestyle" he needs some glow sticks or a big hat with some bedazzler action to keep me watching past 0.15.....
