ZBoard Lets You Drive With Your Weight

The ZBoard is being touted as the world's first weight-sensing electric skateboard, able to travel up to 17 mph without any pushing effort from the rider.

While there are several motorized skateboards on the market, the ZBoard differs in its drive system, which incorporates front and rear foot pads into the board. The pads sense pressure, and the information is transmitted to a micro-controller that adjusts the motor speed. Leaning on the front pad starts the board moving, while leaning on the back will cause it to slow.

The ZBoard was designed by the California based company, Intuitive Motion Inc.
