"2009 - COOK ISLAND EASTER PADDLE CLASSIC

Saturday 11th APRIL 2009 (8am to 1pm)

ALL TYPES OF PADDLE RACES.....

11 Different Categories [with 22 Events - Male & Female for all races]



· Entry Fee only $30 (incl. gst)

· Note: a $10 late fee will apply to those entering on race day

· All race starters will receive a Competitors T-shirt and a ticket into the draw for one of the awesome Random Draw Prizes (one ticket per race)



· Medals for all First, Second and Third placegetters....

· Trophies presented for fastest Male and Female Open Competitors over the 11km course

· La Mans start for all races....

· Juniors (U/15) all paddle the set course inside Jack Evans Boat Harbour

· Senior Craft (U/17+) all paddle out on the Tweed River towards Cook Island for the 11km race.

· FREE – “Weapons of Choice” Event for surfboard category
(bragging rights with your mates.....)

i) 6’6” and under, &
ii) Malibu 9”1’ and under




· SWIMMERS 150m - "DASH FOR CASH" (Male & Female) from 1.00pm ($10 entry)

BBQ and food / drink vendors available incl. Coffee Vans, Shaved Ice etc.

· Water Safety provided by North Burleigh SLSC

· Live Presentation(s) straight after each event."
