Just sold my old Naish 11'6 as it was one of the first off the line and a bit sticky etc etc

So I need some advice as I haven't been out all winter.

90kg and I want something for flat water and surf.

I'm good in knee high surf, average/crap in waist high and obviously fine on the flat.

Was looking at the Naish range again or the Starboard range but open to suggestions.

Thanx in advance

Agree with the 11'2, Starboard 10'5 would be fine at your weight.
Naish Nalu 11'4 or 10'6
Naish Mana 9'5 if your more surf orientated

Where abouts are you fella? if you are in Auckland then there are both Starboard and Naish dealers. The starboard dealer is in Mt Wellington I think and the Naish guy is in Orewa. Happy to put you in touch with either if you don't already know them?

Alternatively you could go and see Luke at the Boardshop at Barrys point Rd, Takapuna. He has now got a variety of C4, surftech, NSP and GSI boards. If you ask for Ben in there he is well into his suppin and could help you out...and he's honest.

I sold my 11'6 Naish last Saturday unexpectedly on the beach. I've been meaning to sell it but couldn't be arsed putting an ad in and all that crap. Some guy saw laying on the beach and asked for a paddle - 10 minutes later it was sold. 10 minutes after that I bought a brand new one - 14' Glide. I've got my surfing board and I bought this one for downwinders and flatwater paddling in the bay and hopefully for the odd day when there are some big fat small glassy waves down at big left - can't wait.

Personally, if you are serious you need at least two in a quiver (well it wouldn't be a quiver without two) one for surf another for flat water/suploring/downwinders.

Yeah I can see 2 to the quiver would be best but what with my wind&kite gear the bill is creeping up to 15k

Will see how the season pans out. I'm about to buy the mrs a 10'oxbow so maybe I'll pinch that when needed
