First time with my new camera so hope the qualty not too bad.

Oops....someone forgot to set the anti shake function. Anyway, hope you can make it out.

Hey Pete,

Thanks for posting the pics, was great to meet up with you guys finally.

The medal of the day goes to Kayne!

For his second time out on a SUP it took serious balls for him to get out there.

The look on his face when I said you better look out for that wave and there was a 2+OH about to throw behind him was priceless. I have never seen anyone move so fast lol.

He can surf with me any day hes way cool lol.

I think you would agree that the pics dont show how big the swell was at the end of the session with the rising swell.

My old bones are reminding me though.

And not fair you guys laughing at me having to drill a hole through that wave, it was purely a survival necessity.

Session was carving it up like a Ginsu Knife all afternoon, I wonder how many waves you can catch on 9'6 Ripper before the warrantee runs out.

I think we can say the PC7 thruster set works pretty well, if it was ever goning to let go it would have been on some of the bigger waves today.

Hope we all catch up again soon.

Phill

Phill, your not wrong bout the pics not doing justice to the size of the waves . There were some seriously big sets coming through and the one that nailed you was a cracker.

Just looking at the video I took, looks ok but have never edited a video before. Will give it a go tomorrow. Should have used a tripod today, that northerly made it difficult.

Hey, what about all those PSH's out there today Hopefully the new shipment will be cheaper...one can only hope.

Classic Vicco winter day today, ya have to love it

Hey BP,

The wind was blowing 25 - 30k and pete was flapping in the breeze with a tiny camera in his hand laughs. We have to thank him for staying on the sand.

Session almost got clean up by my 10'6 being blown back at him after I kicked out off a wave. He had that 1000 yard stare they got in vietnam after that lol.

Did you know that you can drive from Torquay Point to Subway get a roast chicken 12inch with salad jalopenos chilli sauce and get back to drainos eat it wash it down with V and be on the water in 20 mins.

If only i could apply the same motivation to mowing the grass, or thats what my darling wife said.

Now one last question WHERE DID THE SWELL SNEAK OFF TO???

OG, classic bottom turn mate, how good is it you can share such day's with your kids out there instead of them watching from the sand.Bonding in the ocean life cant get any better in my book.

Nice pics!
Also, I am jealous of the variety of coastal features you enjoy - it has got to be great knowing that you can travel a bit to get a completely different setup...Lucky!

By the way guys and gals I used a Panasonic DMC FT1 which I got the night before. $599- from Teds. It was really hard to hold steady in the strong wind but I actually bought it to take in the water with me.

Neat, compact little camera, 12.1 meg, wide angle 28 mm Leica lens, 4.6x optical zoom, waterproof to 10 ft, takes HD video...perfect for taking out on the SUB stuffed down my wettie or in a small pouch.

Phill, where you thinking of paddling Wednesday? I'm down that way and need to be in Lorne by 10am. I might even surf Lorne or Cathedrals or back in Torquay. Was going to have a paddle with Rich around 12pm ish.

Wind forecast has been updated and could be a little strong for the bombie. See what happens.

Hey Brendon,

I have been up in Syd for a few days on business. I would love to get out and about but alas I am flat out! The weekend is not far away and looks like great swell so here's hoping.

Kristi and I had a great session with LSD and his sons on Sunday it was really fun!

I found out his boards are filled with helium thats why they are so light.

We all swapped boards, but my wide a$$ was over the safe working load for most of them

LSDs oldest son pulled a wicked helicopter on my 9'6.

Jarrod had just come back from Fiji and looked like a popsicle in the freezing water but as usual he had he biggest smile on his face, we can all learn a few things from him!

Small waves but out with a cool crew thats what life is all about!
