My first race board arrived this morning (thanks gsi/toll).
You should have seen the boys at toll ipec in Moonah when I picked it up - so so funny seeing all these guys standing around totally in shock at "what the f#ck is that ? "
Strapped it on the roof and headed east to join "cruisen" for my first downwinder - only to be greeted by gale force winds and a few big bumps on the horizon. As I havent paddled offshore before I duly chickened out and spent a couple of lazy hours cruising along 7 mile beach in relative shelter.
Had a blast and cant wait for my first DW when the weather settles a tad.
Oh - stopped at my local cafe on the way home and in less than 5 mins had a small group of people gathered looking at the board - naturally a 30 minute conversation ensued !!! Jeez I love the innocense and interest that people show in sup down here - just so refreshing.
