Nippers cancelled for my 7yold Sunday morning so went biking instead. Later in the arvo though would go and see how the banks going as tide dropped S.Bondi. Got there just as the thunderstorm started and cleared the beach. South end not so good but north end looking great and very clean when the wind dropped after the storm and about 2 footers forming about 50m out as the tide turned. "Beach Closed" (Tsunami warning) and with the rain no punters swimming, so got out there about 430 and had the whole north end to myself in the rain. What a greatime, caught more rides than the last half-dozen outings combined! :) 2 other SUPers came out about 5pm (including the "bondi vet" guy who seemed a good bloke) and a few clubbies on kneeboards and some groms. Still plenty of room and a good vibe. Stayed as the tide filled until about 715pm and went home for a beer with and ear-ear grin. How good is life? cheers, wayne.

ps - Hope it wasnt a breezer at S.Bondi sat arvo dropping repeatedly through the lineup. Bad karma for us all.

I also was in the water knowing full well a warning was posted. Doubtful judgement on my part and I justified it on a combination of stoke, risk assessment and stupidity. At least I had an escape plan sorted if things got scary....
