If you have not already check out the Kia Kaha paddle range. Woogie just made me one with a kevlar-carbon shaft and it is great in the surf. You might also save a bit of your Rudd money if you go direct through him and Jodie. They are great to deal with and will look after you. I highly rate their paddles.
