I could not find anything on the Surfing Australia site's also ?

Just spoke to Max Wells form Surfing Vic , he said at this stage this will be happening but may change.....seems there is some changes at Surfing Aus right now and Max has been asked to get this underway.

I rekon that would be hard to know. But they will have a set schedule or running sheet so once people are in the water it should run to plan. So it just comes down to when the first heat hits the water.

I'll go check it out.

If I had a little more notice and more time on my new board I would be keen to go in this , just for s**** & giggles, Its half in the back of my mind now maybe on the 9 6" naish , see what happens in the next few days, Rich can you enter on the day?

This has all come from Max Wells at Surfing Vic ,Torquay, im just passing the details on as requested and in Victoria we are included in state round.
Max did say this may not happen for National's .......bumma.
Good to know that they are now considering us in future events.

I entered and I'm faxing a mates membership form and entry form today. We are both not that good and will be on our backhand so I rekon we will look like kooks! But it should be fun and if we get a good turnout then there's a chance that we will get an event to ourselves next summer. Those were the words of Max from Surfing Vic.

I want to speak with him again to see if we can run more events under the Surfing Vic banner. I'd be keen to organise/help organise.

Nah, I missed it this year Brendon, got too much happening at the moment, anyway the way I surfed today I would be the kook (on the 9 6") I did go better for my second surf, too much time out of the water with constant onshores and crap wind down here, gone from surfing twice a day to twice a week

Matty.. It's too short a notice for me to organize the time off work. (I work weekends).

I might come down for a look on the Saturday morning before I start work.

I've asked the guys at RPS and SHQ and none can make it either.

Is Jan Juc the main comp location at this stage?

I hope it goes well and you get a good turn up for the first one.

I can see it being like past windsurfing comps when the conditions are crap.. We used to say.. "When in doubt..send the women out" .. only now it will be "When in doubt..send the SUP'ers out"..

Yeah conditions were really hard. A mix of onshore and a weird rippy side chop.
Everyone did well just to get out there and make poor conditions look ok.

Next year will be bigger and better I'm sure.

congat's to all who saluted the judges,and those who made it happen!I'm sure next year will herald sup's into the fold nationally.
