Sorry for making people look here, but I want to know what happened?

C'mon, Phil, Simondo, Lazza, Sparx, surely you can let us know what happened?

How won? who should have won?
Who was the dark horse?
How were the waves?
etc etc etc

Phill has a bunch of pics!

Lummers nudged out Cam Lampard in Open Mens. 3rd was Will Cusso.
Over 35's were with Open Men.

Open Women's was won by Emma Webb, and Kristi Page was 2nd.

Reasonably solid Torquay Point. I dashed off to Winki part way through for a session at Lowers on a board that Cusso's dad glassed for me since easter.

Pic's in the Longboard section under "Triple Black Diamond".

Browny (Greg of Gash) and Johnny (of Glide Fins) won their longboard age divisions. Wayne Lynch's son won Open Mens Longboard.

What else do you want to know !! (that's no meant to be a smart arse statement - just a fun jibe that my dad & I started).

Waves were ranging from 2-3m faces on the sets out the back. Fun reforms on the inside, both left and right reforms, depending on the wave / the mood.... The sets certainly had a bit of push. There were a handful of bombs at Winki (3+m faces) that had be bailing, and coming up the other side almost gasping for the next breathe.

The west wind stayed pretty light all day, and the swell hung around all day. So all in all, pretty reasonable quality waves.

Yep
A good day had by all!
Got dusted in the semis along with Lazza but still good to sit around watching good surf and talking sh.. with good people. Congrats to Lummers, Cam and Will. Also congrats to John Tackle who stepped out of the woodwork to cain Laz and I. Great thing about this sport is that everyone is getting better all the time and there are all these smokeys that keep popping up left right and centre. Have seen 2 or 3 in the last couple of days who are potential mind blowers. Well done to Kristi too.
Ah well
The knees are aching and the scotch and drys are calling. All in the fullness of time grasshopper!
Cheers
