DJ love the angle its great to see the footwork etc and its a much more natural view than the crotch shots of old.
I realise those bumps were pretty small and maybe the wind wasn't super strong but it looks like with fixed fin boards people attack the wave and ride the wave very perpendicular.
I have noticed with the ruddered boards people tend to angle across the wave and work more in a zig zag pattern?
Was it just the size of the waves on the day?
Your thoughts?
The bumps were quite peaky on Saturday, there really wasn't a whole lot of face to run along, especially with 2 boards side by side. Also, the video might be slightly misleading but the wind and wave direction had a touch of east in it which made it a little bit off shore. If we'd run completely perpendicular, we would have ended up on the wrong side of the bay.
