Don't put too much emphasis on volume, although you need a certain amount to float you it is more important as to where it is distributed. The All Waves are a great example as they are quite thick and carry the wide point through a fair amount of the centre area. Taking these factors I to consideration makes it quite a large board, volume wise, into a small board. As an example the 9'5 x 32.25 All wave is 170l the Starboard Whopper 10 x 34 is 171l. So very similar in terms of literage but 2 very different boards.
