Looking to go to Esperance in the next month or so.

Hoping to be away for about two weeks, driving straight to Esperance then around the South Coast to Dunsborough. Will have a 4wd so getting offroad is OK.

Any tips on breaks and camping spots between Esperance and Albany would be appreciated.

Get on google maps zoom in on the coast between Esperance and Hopetown. there is a coast road the runs through places like Starvation Bay Mason Bay etc heaps of places to camp and the surf is offshore in places on reefs and some beachies.

Do the same for the rest of the journey there is literally thousands of waves on that coast. Walpole area is outstanding.

You need a bit of north in the wind for that coast and it can be onshore for days at a time.

Enjoy the exploring.

Just spent some time down around Albany. As Hilly said, if you are lucky enough to get a bit of northerly wind, all good.

Nanorup just east of Albany is a good SUP wave and has plenty of sheltered breaks, Mutton Bird on the other side of Albany is good and bigger than Nanorup and Denmark 50km west is fantastic with light winds. Make sure you let your tyres down when hitting the beach - sand is soft.

I havent hit Yallingup on the SUP yet (plenty of sessions on the longboard). This is fantastic and if the swell is up you can surf Hussas at Cowaramup (this is ok when the wind is southerly)

Beautiful part of Oz..
