This topic doesn't belong on this forum...........however.............the ausies got eveything they deserved and are now crying like babies. If they want to go down there and deliberately attempt to disable Japanese (not Japs) ships with ropes, floats etc then bad luck for them if it doesn't go their way

So you agree with whale slaghter?

If you had bothered to read further you would see that I didn't agree with slaughtering of whales, just the way the ecoterroists operate. Also take a look again at the photos which show one clown on the Adi Gil with what appears to be some sort of bazooka.

BTW I spoke to a Japanese friend of mine today and he finds the term "Japs" offensive.

As for "getting over it", grow up, better still, have an IQ test then go back and hide under the rock from which you came.

With all sincerity....Pete

A few months ago my mate and I had the privilege to paddle along side a mother hump back and her calf for most of Kirra beach 1 metre apart the whole way. She was the biggest living thing I have been that close too and also the most gentle beautiful creature I have ever encountered. For these "scumbags" whatever their race is to slaughter these beautiful innocent animals is a act of terriosm on the very ocean that we all hold so dear. If a few individuals have the courage to stand up to this slaughter for so called science and then shame on us for letting this happen in our slice of the world!!!!

I'm sure Qld would have similar guidelines.

Actually it didn't Doggie, Just got home from work (some of us do) when I saw your posts.

I don't spend my life on the internet. Figured you were a blow in from another forum and I was right. Anyone who thinks calling Japanese people 'Japs" is either stupid, a bigot, a racist or all three.

Stick to your shortboard forum.

End of story.

This topic was never going anywhere imo, and was distend for a sh-t fight and will always end in a blood bath,no punt intended.
Sorry,I dont log on to read personal insults,so lets drop it here guy's.
I was born in England and was labeled a Pommie Bastard years ago which did hurt a little, once the Bastard word is dropped,I have no problem being called a Pom
As doggie made it clear in another forum, this topic should have been posted in the general section.
One thing I was told many years ago, don't discuss politics at a party because it will end in tears.
Note: a lot of regular contributors to this forum have stayed clear from posting on this subject and rightly so.

Been of the site a few days, good to see some mixed opinions on the topic. Not good to see people accusing people they dont know and have never met of being racists. Jap is short for Japanese or Japan, Nothing more.

Have a whale burger with your Jap mate and relax.

NZ government hoping to negotiate an end to commercial whaling
"The Government has come up with a deal to end whaling in Antarctica.

Prime Minister John Key told a media conference this afternoon that the Government had drafted a deal that would see an end to commercial whaling over an undisclosed timeframe.

The deal will be put on the table at the International Whaling Commission meeting, to be held later this month in Honolulu.

But just how long it would take to stop whaling and what New Zealand would concede to the Japanese remains unclear.

"These have been ongoing discussions and, as I say, progress has been made but it is a delicate subject and we need to work our way through it and I don't think name calling or collisions on the high seas are going to resolve this issue," Mr Key said.

He said the topic will be discussed with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when she arrives in Auckland on Friday.

Gizzie, the Aussies also have a diplomatic envoy to this cause.

I lived in Europe for a few years and it always surprised me how People considered NZ and Aust the same place. Despite the rivalry with the football and with the exception of a few 'shoulder chip' expats over here we do get along quite well. Perhaps it would make more sense to form an Antipodean group and approach the world aligned with each other.

The ANZAC anti whaling commission?
