My OB water proof phone case failed this evening resulting in a drowned iPhone.

Next time I go the EWA Marine product.

I've seen a few waterproof cases fail and that's why I went for the best for my new iPhone.

Here's my post for those who missed it.. www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=60370&SearchTerms=waterproof,phone,case

BTW.. iPhone do warranty them no how they are damaged or how long you've had the phone but there is a change over fee. It's much less than a new phone.

Yeah apparently $249 change over. Much better than $1100+. I just have to get to an Apple store. Presumably that means the official Apple store (Chadstone) rather than an Apple reseller (Next Byte etc).

Aquapac make the best waterproof cases for whatever you need to keep water off. They make them for cameras, cb radios, keys etc etc etc. I use one for my iphone while SUP surfing the outter reefs. I also take it windsurfing! So it cops a hammering in the surf! But in saying that I also have my wife's iphone and mine, along with any other electronic devise or jewellery insured. $14 a month up to $1000 for each item and a max of 5 items per claim
