Here in Melbourne we need at least 20 knots of north to northwest wind to make a good down-winder.. Yesterday was great.. and it's looking good for all week.

Anyone keen to joing me just PM me.. I'll be doing all five..

Mick had his PSH out on the weekend once again on our light wind downwinder and while he had to work at it, he has the engine.

Thanks PT Woody, Unfortunately I don't have the engine. But I was thinking the PSH would go OK because of the short reach in the bay producing short wave interval

Hey Log
Ring the boys at SHQ Boardsports and see if you can get a loaner, They have a 14 foot glide loaner yo might be able to use. or DJ might loan yo one of his quiver.
Cheers Scott

Really, if there's a decent breeze and swell, the PSH Gun is a decent weapon for a downwinder from what I've seen. On the other hand, if you're just paddling with minimal wind assistance through cross chop for 10km, it won't be as much fun. But that's true of any board.

Hey Logman.. Join us tomorrow and I can grab the SHQ Naish 14 for you to use.. I mean demo.. .. Tomorrow is going to be great.

You would be ok on your 12' PSH as long as you're not too heavy and have good balance.. I've seen heaps of guys doing it on the PSH gun.

Today's DW'er was really good with non stop runners and the perfect wind and wave direction.

The PSH gun will work fine. You will be a bit slower than the others and have a harder time catching runners. It can be done. Just don't stress about it. Relax and go with the flow and you'll be fine.
