Hey Guys,

I am interested in planning a social club for SUP on the West Coast

The specific objectives of the club:

1) Fun based around monthly social events.
2) Support and training for beginer paddlers
3) Provision of demonstration boards of all brands for members to trail.
4) Strategic recipricol business relationships with local Retailers and Australian Shapers.
5) Local and intestate social trips to meet and mingle with the other clubs.

If your interested please PM me!

Regards

Phill

Hey Jenkz,

I would be happy to have members in all states if thats the way it works out.

Most of us have similar interests and its great to get a guide that knows whats what when you go somewhere new.

We have some guys coming down from QLD next week and I have taken time off to show them around.

I guess the focus is to get like minded people together to just have fun.

It may not even have to take on a formal structure.

Tux,

The main focus would be surfing, and exploring the west coast more remote breaks not looking for big waves more looking for unexplored territory.

I think downwinders are more than covered by the melbourne crew.

I would aslo like to focus on quality training for the new people. I have a great relationship with one of the surf coaches here, we work with Headzone remote radio equipment and video analysis etc to progress people quickly if thats what they want.

Yeah, I am in...........There are some places between Damiens and Abay that I would like to paddle out to, but not on my own. Heaps of river/creek mouths to explore out there for sure.

I am also happy to use our abay cabin as a base camp on occassion......small, cosy and sleeps about 6 if you bring your own sleeping bag.

Thanks Ronnie,

Thats exactly what we need a network up and down the coast working together.

Networking to the advantage of all is where its at.

It opens up avenues in all areas, travel, procurement (volume purchases) etc.

Clubs should also band together to multiply the effect.

Its not about gobbling up all the pie you can eat, its about making the pie bigger so everyones slice grows in size.

Plenty of options on the table me thinks.

Hi Rodiguez,

Standup has some great ideas down his way and it looks like we may have a base camp at Abay. I have a few ideas closer to home closer to home that will be fun.

Looks like we also have a base camp at Warnambool.

Thanks for the feedback guys/
