I'm planning a family trip (Wife and 3 kids) to Vic. My son is playing beach volleyball tournament in Melb. and then would like to cruise down the coast. I have been before many years ago. I'm looking for some budget family accom. somewhere near where I can go SUP surfing. I presume Lorne is off the scale re. price and crowds. I was thinking maybe Anglesea? I have no idea really. I'll probably hire a car and drive down. Any suggestions and advice most appreicated and happy to recripricate in regards to anyone wanting to head over to W.A.

Roughly what dates are you talking about? It will make a big difference to availability. At Xmas and just after the coastal resorts go nuts with both crowds and prices

what about phillip island it would be a better option at that tiime of year with woolies banks on a east wind and cat bay on the sea breeze stacks of breaks close to each other and the island is really chilled out, but crowds are a problem at both places and accom can be exxxy if it were me going at that time of year I'd be heading for phillip island It's just more bang for your buck any way just shooting the breeze you'll have fun where ever you go

Hey Stimo,
if they have road side chuckouts there I'll be able to wack something together. Like the Phillip Island suggestion too, cheers guys.
