I haven't done it yet but I'm looking forward to something about mast high.. A right hander.. crumbling from the top.. and that goes on and on..

Where do I put my order in?

Hey DJ......I wasn't asking what your wet dream is...LOL

Maybe I should have asked what you "normaly" like to ride.

(Try Haystacks or Pt Danger....maynot be crumbling at the top though)

Head high usually but every now and then a solid 5-6ft for a speed fix.

Well DJ I would say that someone has already put an order in for ya and its getting close to service time. Dust off the Rhino chaser and start doing some breathing exercises!

Make sure you take some pics for us and stay safe!!!!!! Looks a little big for my liking but I guess that means some of those more sheltered options become very very tasty.

2-5' reef break. Nice channel to paddle out in. Gentle but steep mound to paddle into then jack up into a nice hollow face that backs off before it dumps. Little bit of a flat top so I can trim along in surf stance before pushing over into the face. Deeper water on the inside to bail into if necessary.

When you think of it that sound just like ... and ... and ... on a good day.

Depends on the type of break it is. Been loving the SUP on bigger waves (double overhead +) but that size on a mean barrelling wave would be pretty intense. We are pretty lucky in Sydney cause in a good year like this one we get plenty of decent swells with favourable wind and SUP opens up the opportunity to surf waves I wouldn't bother with on a normal board.

Any size will do - best just to be out there. Ideally though decent sized left at Yallingup is the go for me.

Sometimes the company of good looking others helps

When Bnaccas says the waves are double overhead which really means 3 to 4ft,
its all good then,

Head high is easy to measure cos it's from the front.
I'm a short arse but head high on me is getting close to 3ft.

3ft is fun cos you can let loose and the consequences aren't so bad, but there is nothing
better than dropping in and racing along a good sized 5 or 6ft'er. You don't need to manufacture
speed and you can really draw some nice lines! Thats what it's about!

Nice Call Camo,

We now need to measure in multiple of Bnaccas,

I have been loving the 4ft+ (1.5 Bnaccas) solid recently.

Also love 1ft(Knee High Bnaccas) clean Grove with the kids.

Hey DJ,
I like them about 1/10th the size of your image! This is our little spot on a small day. Peeling right hander that goes for about 100m (also has a left when its a little bigger). Just big enough to try a few manouvres, easy paddle back out and an absolute pearler when there is decent swell (ie gets to head high maybe 6-10 times a year, generally in winter). Snapped this pic yesterday morning - absolutely perfect day!

any size is good. I like from waist to head high the best, as it's really where SUP does it's thing. Unless it's a special wave I'd probably rather be out on my shortboard in bigger surf. I really like snappy aggressive SUP, and they don't really like that in big surf. however..... If it is a special wave that is big but uncatchable on a shortboard, then it becomes interesting to take on with SUP. I like to be able to pick my tool to suit the day! When on tour I will altimately travel with a 8'10" SUP, 10' Sup, 11m Kite, 14m Kite, 2 x Kite wave boards, 1 x Poleboarding rig, 6'5" Shortboard, 6'2" Fish, 9'1" Longboard and a case or two of beer. Can't really get caught out!

for me bigger is better

more room to man handle these big oil tankers around in

for me it is always better trying to wash off a bit of speed than trying too hard to generate more IMO

4 to 6ft is playfull

but i prefer solid barrelling lefthanders 6ft plus

and more than anything i prefer NO CROWDS in any size surf just a few good mates, a sh1t load of laughs, smiles = good times

you cant beat that
