Hi gang, I haven't been on Seabreeze for a hell of a long time and was just glancing through some old topics and saw one where Ponobill posed the question, what happened to the Penetrator? Basically, I'm not really making them anymore as unfortunately they were just too labour intensive for the return. The smaller size 12'6" was only just profitable but above this size it just wasn't worth it. Ideally one of the large corporations would have taken my design and molded it but this never eventuated so the quickest paddleboard ever has faded into the history books. As for me. I've been dividing my time between the Noosa Surfworks factory and building race cars that compete in the super sports series as well as other specialist fibreglass projects. Anyway, I enjoyed developing the Penetrator and am happy to have played my part in the evolution of the distance standup paddleboard.

Good to hear from you Stuey.. .. and good to hear that you're still around and working your magic.

There's a few Pene's down here and they're still going strong.. and as fast as.

The Penetrator will go down in the history books of SUP and I can't wait till the day that we see a Pene Mark II.

Great to hear from you Stuey. I have very fond memories of the 572 you sent to Maui. Fast, fast, fast board.

The only board I've paddled that matches it is my oc-1.

When the swell period was just right that 572 had a motor in it.

Thanks again for the great memories.

Dont imagine I'll be doing anymore of them. Yeah I've been building the bodies as well as some carbon kevlar panels to protect the driver of a car called the Minetti which is powered by a worked Hyabusa engine and has a top speed of around 280 kph. cheers, Stuey

Glad you liked it, I enjoyed taking a different track and making it work. Would have been nice to have developed the design further but happy to have at least got people thinking, cheers, Stuey
