And why ?
Has anybody compared sups with time trials, etc or raced one on one then swapped boards.
I know it has a lot to do with the "motor", just your thoughts.

Quote from a post Easy Rider made on the Zone. He is a Naish, Starboard and Jimmy Lewis dealer in Edmonton Canada

www.theeasyrider.com/palladium/?p=788

Can he paddle, no idea, is he biased in some way, no idea!!

This spring I tested the following 14" boards on a glass flat lake.
Starboard ACE
Naish Javelin
Jimmy Lewis Saber
Naish Glide 14'

With my GPS - the Starboard was the fastest over a 1 km marked course (a rowing course) by 23 seconds.
2nd was the Javelin / 3rd the Saber / 4th Glide.

Pretty sure there is a 24ft board in Cali somewhere that would be one of the quickest!! I seen it on Facebook a while back. Someone might be able to find a pic if they look hard enough

You know, you can buy the fastest equipment for any speed related sport,BUT if you don't have the skill or the motor, you got nothing, ffs all this whats what,go paddle a piece of wood and work your ar-s off.

I agree, in Formula 1, the only difference between a Red Bull and a Virgin is the wood working its ar-s off.

Remember you can't believe everything you read or see on the Internet.

You need to demo and proove things for yourself to be sure.
