"MANOUVER" on a SUP?
O.K.It's late at night I've read all the recent posts and now I'm lost for things to do,"SO" I thought I'd create a topic. So after a few seconds concideration I feel my favorite manouver would be a crankin' forehand roundhouse cuttie, you know the ones where you change hands with your paddle and use it as a pivot.I love doin' them. Also while we're on the subject what do you find the hardest manouver on a SUP?I mean most of us come from other boardsport backgrounds and this is fairly different to everything really.I rode short boards for about 20 years then just for the fun of it I started riding longboards for about 10 years and that's how I found out about SUP,I was at a longboard comp and....Anyway I've found that of all things the thing I have trouble with most on a SUP is a simple bottom turn.I'm always about half a step too far up the front of the board so when I try to lean in to the turn the board does'nt follow me like it should.I know what I'm doing wrong but I just keep doing it LOL.....AARRRGGHHHH......!!.Anyway I'd love to read what other Breezers think if anyone would like to comment.

That is a classic SUP maneuver. My favorite is the backside takeoff.
Either late, sticking the paddle in the face to pivot off of. Or perfectly
positioned under the peak for three stroke launch.

After almost forty years on my stomach, I love the way the takeoff is on
a sup.

Get your foot back to the tail and the turns will just carve.

I'm the opposite to you Gumball'

I love getting low on a big bottom turn, then shooting up the face & snapping under the lip.... But can't seem to get my head around switching the paddle to the other side for that cuttie. A mate of mine nails it every time & it looks sick!!!Just feels so wrong & unco when I try it!!

There's just so much to love about manouvers on sup.
The take off, the cranckin bottom turn and smack the lip or reo, and of course
A long cuttback. really need to work on the change of hands thing though.
But thats what keeps me interested, "the challenge"

Yeh I know what you meen about the glide,Beautifull. And bottom turns I love them I just keep on getting my feet wrong when SUP'ing. What about a forehand re-entry using the paddle to lean on kind'a like a layback but diferent and paddleing in and kickturning at the same time only a SUP can do that.I still haven't had a decent barrel but I think that'll change soon as we start getting a few offshores this winter the new 10'6"I've got can really hold it's edge, oops got'a go back to work...Later...
